God is Faithful!

"God is Faithful!" 

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

           God is in fact faithful. This is exceedingly difficult to understand and convicting, especially when we have to come to Him in our unfaithfulness. Knowing that we who are, were or will be unfaithful have to come to the one who is perfection and in essence a reminder of who we are not. Although it may seem true and leave you feeling as though you cannot approach Him until you have had a few minuets or hours to make yourself right and being some sort of halfway decent case.  

           This is in effect man sowing fig leaves of his own work to cover his nakedness. We wait to run to God because we are...exposed! Perhaps we can hide our shame but bring Him something else that He may make us feel good about ourselves. But we are doing one of two things, either delaying His handiwork or else we are denying we have sinned. This would be worse than sinning itself because now we are calling God a liar! Either way we are only fooling ourselves.

          Although it may seem true its not! Know that we are also bought with the blood of Christ. Therefore it is Christ living in us. We are made new because of what Jesus has done!Therefore don't hold on our wait! If we respond right away to Gods grace and mercy it is when our hearts are most surrendered and willing to turn from sin and receive from Him. Our "unfaithfulness" doesn't change the faithfulness of God, it only proves it more genuine! 

God is faithful why don't you stop all your doing and go to Him?
